# PDF reports

Download a design report or compare production with electricity usage.

Choose **Download › Report** in the editor.

## Design report

In **Download report**, set **Report** to **Design report**. Choose what to **Show on the drawing**, the **Module color**, and the view options offered, then click **Download**.

The report brings together the layout, equipment, system size, and energy estimates. It uses the model selected for the design, including supported SAM and SolarFarmer runs. Review the model and its requirements before exporting.

## Consumption offset

Set **Report** to **Consumption offset**. Enter the site's **Monthly usage** in kWh for January through December.

To include a **Lifetime forecast**, enable it and set **Project lifetime**, **Degradation / yr**, and **Usage growth / yr**. Review the assumptions before downloading.

The report compares modeled production with the usage you entered. It is an estimate, so use representative consumption data and check that the system design matches the project you are evaluating.

## If a report cannot be created

Read the error shown in the editor. Check the selected module and inverter, weather availability, and [model requirements](https://docs.staging.solesca.com/editor/simulate/). Resolve any issue and try the download again.
