# Members and seats

Invite people and manage permissions, seats, terrain access, and two-factor authentication.

Owners and Admins manage their team in **Settings › Administration › Members**.

## Permissions and seats

Permissions control administration. Seats control which design tools a person can use.

| Permission | Access |
| --- | --- |
| Owner | Organization administration and ownership. |
| Admin | Member management, billing, and organization preferences. |
| Member | Work within the access provided by their seat and add-ons. |

| Seat | Purpose |
| --- | --- |
| View | View designs without a paid editing seat. |
| Design | Create and edit designs. |
| Engineering | Design tools and engineering work. |

Terrain tracking is a separate add-on. Review your available seats and terrain licenses on [Billing](https://docs.staging.solesca.com/admin/billing/#seats-and-add-ons).

## Invite people

Click **Invite people**, enter the email addresses, and choose the permissions and access offered in the dialog. Review the invitation details before sending.

Pending invitations appear on the Members page. Revoke an invitation if it is no longer needed. To replace an invalid invitation, revoke it and invite the person again. Invitees follow the email link to [create an account](https://docs.staging.solesca.com/start/sign-in/).

## Change access

Find the person in the members table. Use **Seat type**, **Terrain tracking**, or **Permissions** to open the corresponding controls, then confirm the change.

The dialogs show availability and explain when your plan needs more seats or licenses. Returning a seat or terrain license makes it available to assign elsewhere.

Before a plan reduction, review the people who should retain access. Use [Concierge](https://docs.staging.solesca.com/start/concierge/) if you need help changing your plan.

## Two-factor authentication

The **Two-factor** column shows enrollment status. An Owner or Admin can reset a member's two-factor authentication if they lose access to their authenticator. Confirm the request with the member before resetting it. They will need to enroll again.

The organization-wide requirement is in [Organization preferences](https://docs.staging.solesca.com/admin/settings/#security).

## Remove a member

Use the member's available management actions to remove them and read the confirmation before proceeding. Only an Owner can change or remove another Owner, and the organization must retain at least one Owner.
